Sugai: It’s been one year and a bit since our debut single, recently many people said that “You guys are drawing attention”, but i still don’t feel like it… How about Akanen (Moriya)?
Moriya: Me too. We are still ordinary girls (laughs)
Sugai: There are many things that we need to improve from our dancing and singing. The day where we could say “Today we did well!” won’t come in near future.
Moriya: Captain Sugai are reflecting a lot! But members are growing up a lot, don’t we?
Nagahama: Shy girls are now able to let out them self little by little. For example, Koike Minami. Before she was very shy, but lately her radio is very interesting!
Moriya: (Nagahama) Neru changed too! You talked a lot more compared to the beginning!
Nagahama: I feel like members knows my personality by now, so i feel at peace… So when i feel down, i will feel down without minding everyone else and when i want to laugh i’d just laugh. Techi (Hirate) too also evolved as a center
Hirate: I don’t understand if it’s about my self. I has never been able to see myself and Keyakizaka objectively. But if it’s about everyones growth, i feel like we are now able to quickly memorize the choreography!
Sugai: I also feel like, compared to one year ago, our way of approaching work has changed.
Moriya: Lately everyone has beginning to find their own flow during a filming or before a live, and started putting it into practice, right?
Hirate: To manage my well being i ate fruits. Also i’m starting to enjoy performing.
Sugai: Everyone are also into porridge diet right?
Moriya: Yes, everyone are always crazy about something. The sweet potato boom lasted long~ The starter was always Pe-chan (Watanabe Rika). She brought with her a local speciality from Ibaraki, and before i knew i’m always eating it.
Nagahama: We also love natto right? Mekabu natto, kimchi natto…
Sugai: Tofu Somen, too
Moriya: That’s only you!
Sugai: Yeah, and it’s not stopping! I can eat healthy food without feeling guilty, but i might be the type of person who sees it like that
Moriya: That’s why people say that “Keyakizaka are full of gluttons” (laughs)
Nagahama: It’s always so rowdy in the dressing room. There’s also the boom of weird pictures using photo application.
Moriya: We always laughs all the time, Keyakizaka looked like a popcorn (laughs)
Nagahama: But between the quiet girls, or the girls who wanted to be alone, we all naturally accepts each other.
Hirate: When you think of Keyakizaka, the words that come to mind is “Kindness, Humility, Bonds”. I’ve been wondering whether we can understand something without saying the words. Lately i have been talking to Suzumoto (Miyu) about performance, and it's reassuring that she’s able to understand me well.
Moriya: Doesn’t it because we all challenged everything together, and overcome it as one ever since the debut?
Sugai: That’s right. Since people are expecting a lot for us in this second year, Ganbariki! I also want to raise the quality of live…
Hirate: Live is really is a special place where both members and fans could have fun together, don't you think?
Nagahama: I want to do more live. I love singing and dancing together with everyone.
Hirate: We also want to try new things. Last year and this year, we have 2 dramas and from it i was able to learn acting, it’s a very good experience.
Moriya: Also lately, it makes me happy how people commented that we are “cool”. As the vice captain, i want extend the taste of those people.
Sugai: I agree! But backstage, it could still be popcorn like usual (laughs).”Keyakizaka that doesn’t change in a good way” is nice, isn't it?
