The Two’s Friendship
There is another theme today and it’s about Hirate Yurina. Kakizaki-san said that you are close with Hirate-san, but how did you two ended up getting together?
Memi “At first, after Ariake Coliseum live, Yurina suddenly hugged me from behind. I really like Yurina, so it surprised me so much i cried and my jaw shook (laughs). From then, our distance shrunk a bit, the next one is in the anniversary live in April, and behind the stage Yurina was on stand by. That moment, suddenly i wanted to hug her (laughs). I was mulling over whether i should go or not, i went to Nagaru (Nagahama Neru) and asks for her advice, “I want to hug her, what should i do?”
A straightforward consulation (laughs)
Memi “Fufufu. Then Nagaru said, “Isn’t that fine? Go hug her”, she gave me the push i needed to make me hug her (laughs)”
How was Hirate-san reaction that time?
Memi “She was really surprised, she said “Eh, who?” (laughs). Actually i heard from before that Yurina wanted to be friends with me. After that, in a handshake event, during break time i could properly talk to Yurina. From then, “Can i call you Yurina?” we become friends.”
By calling Hirate-san “Yurina”, i can see that the two of you are getting along well. Other members doesn’t really call her “Yurina”, there is a special feeling to it. By the way, did you know each other contact address before that?
Memi “Yes. But we only talk about “Let’s go eat together next time!” “Ah, let’s go!” kind of stuff (laughs)”
I see. I thought about talking about this today, but your personality fits each other. Like how the two of you like to be clear about the white and black, and be straightforward. Hirate-san was called “Genius”, or “The second coming of Yamaguchi Momoe” by a lot of people but, people would never think of her as someone who would suddenly hug someone from behind. I think Hirate-san is having fun too.
Memi “I really want to hug her (laugh)”
A strong love, huh? (laughs). Then, you also talk about going out together right?
Memi “Yes, but our schedule doesn’t really match with each other. So we ended up talking like “We are a little bit vacant in this date, do you want to go somewhere?”
That is the Starbuck story that you put in your blog, yes? Then Kakizaki-san, what do you think about Hirate-san who comes from the same generation as you?
Memi “She is straightforward. Very straightforward. The way she suddenly texted “I want to see you” is very cute. She is very cute, and there’s also a part of her that’s silly. Like sending me [[LINE]] stickers that i don’t really understand the meaning (laughs). Then, the two of us likes sweets… She’s just cute (laughs)”
That is your opinion as the girl from the same age. Then, have the two of you make a promise to go somewhere together?
Memi “We already talked about definitely going to Disney when the two of us have a day off”
You should really go!! By the way, what kind of topic do the two of you usually talk about?
Memi “We talks about anything really. But we only talk about Keyakizaka once, we don’t really talk much about it”
Why?
Memi “It’s because Yurina told me that “Memi is someone Yurina can be friends with”.”
I see. It’s a very good relationship. Being told that makes you happy, right?
Memi “I was very happy. That’s why we are having normal conversation (laughs). Just recently Yurina said that “I want to go to the zoo”, but i say “I think the aquarium would be better”. “Then what should we do now?”, we ended up going to both of them (laughs)
Don’t the two of you looked like a couple? (laughs) By the way, in SCHOOL OF LOCK (Tokyo FM station), when listening to Kakizaki-san and Hirate-san voice call where her voice returned, i cried too. [[You can listen to the radio here]]
Memi “That time when i received a call from her i was so glad i cried. Ever since we became friends her voice are not coming out, so naturally she starts using her phone to hold conversation. Before her voice came out, she told me “If Yurina voice comes back, I think i will look like a suspicious person“ to which i reply “Eh~ Stop it~” it surprises me that after that i got the call.
Did you the two of you go out together after the call?
Memi “We went to eat together (laughs). That time Yurina said she wanted to go eat, before she even read the menu she ordered ice cream. While eating the ice, she reads the menu and asking “What do you want to eat?”...
You ended up eating ice first? That’s very stoic of you (laughs)
Memi “Fufufu. Then i ordered hamburger while Yurina ordered pasta.”
Isn’t that youthful! I think fans will love seeing your relationship. By the way, what kind of girl Hirate-san is usually are?
Memi “She is actually airheaded. Just before, we are eating chickpeas soup. The name has ‘chick’ on it, isn’t it? I understand what the name means but Techi actually think that there is a chick on it and become scared. I thought that was cute (laughs)”
Ahahaha!! Then do you tease her?
Memi “I do. Just recently, she puts on blue eye contact and say “Do i look cool?” looking very happy, i teased her “No, you look scary” (laughs)”
So Hirate-san is a cute person (laughs). Please let us interview the two of you next time!
