mc Miyake ken (ex V6)
ken: it's amazing that you girls are performing at national stadium, more over for two days. how are you two feeling?
rei: we were able to perform a song there once, for a music show, and the scenery there...
hono: it was amazing
rei: it was so wide... it was a shock... but if the fans filled it in, with their penlights and all, i'm sure that it'll look even magical. i can't wait
hono: it's a shock for us too. we felt worry and like at first, but now we are feeling excited and motivated to do our best
ken: amazing, and it is all thanks to the fans
hono: truly so
ken: speaking of sakurazaka, the group is known for their "messy hair", but what do you think of it?
hono: i got the impression that female idols tend to use lip gloss, and their lips looks cute, but in sakurazaka if you do that... because your hair will keep moving about, it will stick on your lips and just won't get off. so it's very rare for members to put lip gloss on. i think i have never used it too
ken: i'm sure that sweats must be sticky too, how do you deal with that?
hono: um, try to shake it off while dancing? if we use our hands, it would look out-of-place and is something we try to avoid, so we try to (shake it off) during the dance. and ofc before concert, we prepare by styling our hair in such way that it won't get caught
ken: what about your bangs?
hono: everyone freezes it
rei: making it stiff. to the point that it won't be messy even if you do a handstand
ken: when you use sprays to stiffen your bangs, it lets sweats soak through it, and isn't it really painful when the sweat and hair styling product mix in and get into your eyes?
hono - rei: YEAH
ken: the venue is hot, the more you dance the more you sweat, and sometimes it gets hard to keep your eyes open
hono: i wear contact lens, and i don't know if this is caused by hair styling products or make ups, but at times it would suddenly get cloudy. so when we return backstage, such as for encore, i would always change lens so that my eyes won't look all white
ken: i see. and i'm sure that hair must be causing trouble when you dance or run, right? like, suddenly having your hairstyle ruined from sweats and made you look weird, then without knowing you're giving fanservice with such terrible look... do you ever experience that?
hono - rei: we have lol
hono: ozono always has such a pretty bangs, and i wonder if she's always pay attention for it
rei: i don't change my hairstyle that much, as i am fond of straight bangs, and the smallest of gap (between hair) is something i can't ignore. and any gap would seem like a big one, like... it makes you stand out more than those who actually part their bangs
ken: do you typically change your hairstyle mid-performance?
hono: not really. when it was just us 2ki and 1ki, and we have to always be on the stage, there was no time to fix anything. now that we even have 4ki in the group, there are time in-between songs, and we got to spend more time backstage. but i think it's rare for members to do something like that
rei: there are not many who drastically change their hairstyle
hono: i can't remember who, but there was a member who did a prank and made it seem like she got her hair shaven. she made it appear like she only has hair on top of her hair. she was only doing it because, "i wanna see what happen! gyahahaha~!"
ken: that's really funny. the one that i have in mind is like, making time toward the latter half of the concert, like for example during a vtr in-between songs. then you tie your hair up into buns, for example
hono: it'll look cute to have everyone do it together
ken: i'm sure it will show gap moe to the fans
rei: i would love to do it one day! there is this unspoken rule between fans not to have the same hairstyle with each other
ken: right, but i wonder if there might be those who'd like to see all members doing the same hairstyle?
rei: we usually keep it separate to make it easier for fans to find each of us, so i would love to see us doing the same hairstyle together
ken: with 32 members in the group, i'm sure the stage formation must be difficult?
hono - rei: right...
ken: what kind of things do you struggle with?
rei: such as changing position while rotating your body, most of the time we ended up doing it while crashing into each other. and when the person at the front are moving backwards, they have to keep looking to the front, so the person behind need to be the one who moves out of the way; it is something that we unconsciously do.
TGUT
ken: what kind of message can be found in this song?
rei: the cheerful song is something that is quite rare for sakurazaka, and i'd be happy if it could... evoke this image or someone who runs at full speed at the midst of their youth. to be a song that can encourage those who are giving their all in the present, just like us
ken: sakurazaka is known for their emotional and intense dancing, but what kind of fandom does the group have? do you have a lot of female fans?
hono: there are a lot!
rei: i've heard that it's a lot, for a female idol group
ken: what do you think the distribution is like?
hono: about 4:6?
rei: about 4... or maybe even 5?
hono: right, there are so many you could say they are half the fandom
rei: 4,5 lol
ken: what kind of girls are they like?
rei: there are so many different kind of girls
hono: the members are rich in individuality, so it really just as diverse, with each female fans having different characteristics per who their oshi are
rei: there are moments when you can hear squealing the moment certain girls do something. i think that the gender distribution differ per members too
ken: which one is it for you two?
hono: i think that it is 4:6 for me, with the 4 being female fans. we have miiguri event, and when we do the real miiguri event, the staff that was standing behind me said to me, "you have so many female fans". what about rei-chan?
rei: about 4:6? the range of age is so wide too. i do think that there were more men at first. i wonder if the tune (or our songs) has something to do with it? since there are many scenes where we show how cool we are, maybe that bring in female fans?
ken: you two must be happy to have female fans
hono - rei: we really are!
