17歳になったらしい。// Seems like she's 17 years old now.

17歳って、私が欅入った年やで。// 17 years old, was the age where i entered Keyaki.

何歳になっても // No matter how old you become,
変わらず、くそがきちゃんで // I want you to stay who you are,
いてほしいです。(笑) // as a lil' brat (lol)

めちゃかわエピソード。// when we celebrated her (Hirate) birthday.


平手のお祝いのケーキがあって、// There was a cake to celebrate Hirate's birthday,
そこにアイシングクッキーが乗ってて、// And there was icing cookie on top of it.

私、アイシングクッキーとても好きなので // I like icing cookie,
食べたいな〜と思いつつ // so i thought 'I want to eat it~'
でも平手のだしなぁ〜って思って、// But i thought that this is Hirate's,
これ食べて〜☺︎︎って言って // So i say, "Eat this~"
食べてくれて、// So she ate it,
そしたらそのクッキーの残りを私にくれて、// And then she gave the rest of the cookie to me
私が食べたら莉菜が // and then Rina said

『間接キスだぁ』// "Ah, indirect kiss"

的なことをめっちゃ小さい声で言って / / She said something like that in a small voice (= whisper)

まずその『間接キス』というフレーズを / / First of all that "Indirect kiss" phrase
小学生の頃から聞いていない気がするし、// is like something an elementary schooler would say,
莉菜が言ってるという事実が可愛すぎて // and then the fact that Rina said it is too cute,
しかもめっちゃ小声で、、、。// plus she said it in a whisper too....

きゃわいい〜ってなった。(笑) // I thought "How cute~~" (lol)


本当可愛い赤ちゃんみたいなメンバー多くて困る… // I'm troubled by how many members are acting like cute babies....

私のおばキャラどんどん定着してまう、、、(笑) // My auntie character is growing stronger day by day... (lol)



みんなでお祝いできてよかった!ぴ! // I'm happy that i could celebrate it with everyone! Pi!

So, what's up with all the English tweets recently from SF and Sony? (...But I guess now we know?)

If you come here for an answer, then you'll find none, because honestly, I don't know for sure myself. But, I do have an idea. In the latter half of 2020, after so many years, Keyakizaka46 YouTube finally removed region restrictions on its latest uploads. One of which is the performance video from Darekane. Overseas fans quickly noticed and used the chance to write their thoughts and feelings, posting them in the comment section just like other fans would do. Then, when "Bessatsu Kadokawa Keyakizaka46 and Sakurazaka46 1013/1209", members shockingly made a mention of it in their interviews, like Ten . Perhaps encouraged by the comments the members made, overseas fans showed their support again in the comments section for "Nobody's fault" and other videos. Yamasaki Ten then made another mention of it again in an interview released in early January 2021 !
