airi: when i first knew (that i will become the center)... i sincerely feel happy about it. like, sakurazaka members are amazing, everyone can do so many things and i did feel some pressure because of that. but i was sincerely happy to have been able to become one
hono: it would be great if you could add a new color [into the group]. how did you tell your family?
airi: the day before the announcement i said, "i will be the center". and there were just like, "is that so? congratulations~". i thought, "huh, they barely reacted", but apparently they didn't believe me. they thought i was just joking. i told them a day in advance because i thought i should inform them... it's only the next morning they were shocked about it
airi: the front members for this single are hono-san and ui-chan, and i thought that the two of you have a familiar vibe, like... "fuwa~". you both have this enveloping kindness that really reassure me
hono: i'm glad to hear that. it's an interesting trio, isn't it? a never-seen before mix up, but we match each other quite well
Q does your impression on ai must be changed after your recorded the song?
hono: i don't think it does...? i used to think of things like "if only we could sing this a little bit better", but this time i thought that it match our voices well...
airi: i thought so too!
hono: right? i'm glad about that
airi: my first impression is that this feels like a showa-era song. i thought that it feels new, but after recording it i thought... "sakurazaka has such a nice voice!". the lyrics assigned to each member are just right, i really like this song. there are solo parts too, i think most members have one?
hono: eh? really? i don't think me and ui-chan have one, i think we always sing together. but yeah, i think each members have one. i think rena-chan even said that this could be her fav song, it's quite popular among members too
Q are there any fav moments or interesting stories from during recording or mv filming?
airi: in the intro, it shows how everyone are all smiley, and we filmed that one while running around and letting our voices out loudly. like, "wahhh!!". and we took it several times, individually, per row, i think we filmed like 30+ in total
hono: did it really reach that much? but yeah, we sure did run a lot
airi: and matsuri-san and ten-san's voice were... they were amazing. i really had fun. it was taken close to the end of the filming
hono; yeah, nearing the end of d2 of filming
airi: that's why it's so fun to be able to let loose with everyone. the costume too, everyone dressed up for the second verse, right? and personally, i really like that
hono: right, we never had anything like that in Sakura. i wonder which one will be our costume for music show?
airi: right!?
hono; i think it probably won't be the dress, but they really fit the choreo, so i hope that we'll be able to show those too one day
airi: what about hono-san?
hono: i think the same with airi-chan, i enjoyed filming the scenes where we are having fun... tbh i don't have much memory about it...
airi: same...
hono: it was chaotic!
airi: right, we had to film this and that, it was a frantic one
hono: so during break time we spaced out or sleep
airi: right, we had to start quite early too
hono: yeah, we worked hard for it
Q as ai must be are getting performed in various places, what part do you think we should pay attention to?
airi: let's see... i think that the choreo has a lot of pair part, even more than other sakurazaka songs until now, so you'll get to see a new kind of dancing. i guess that one? i hope that you can pay attention on who gets paired with who. and the choreo is quite ballet-like, which is something that sakurazaka doesn't really do, and didn't we struggle with that? i got the impression that everyone were being like "gahhh!!!" for this one... it gets dizzying!
hono: yeah!
airi: so please do pay attention to the choreo! what about hono-san? what do you think people should pay attention to?
hono: ehhh~ i suppose the same. i think that there are many pair dancing because love is the theme of the song, there are interaction between members in the choreo too, so i hope that you can pay attention to those as well!
hono: then airi-chan, what kind of a single period do you want to make this into? it might be a difficult question
airi: right, as sakurazaka is undergoing various of changes, i hope that this could become a period that makes people likes sakurazaka even more. it's a song that cherish love, so it'll be nice if sakurazaka and buddies can reaffirm our love for each other!
